Raymond Dupont-Fahn is known for serious white Burgundies that emphasize structure and longevity. Chaumes des Perrières is a prized lieu-dit located just below Meursault’s famed Perrières Premier Cru, planted with Chardonnay on stony, limestone-rich soils. Though classified as Bourgogne Blanc, the site’s pedigree and Dupont-Fahn’s traditional approach give the wine a level of precision and depth that consistently exceeds its appellation.
The 2022 vintage is focused and layered, offering lemon zest, green apple, and pear, accented by subtle white florals and a firm mineral core. The palate is well-defined, driven by bright acidity and a chalky texture that carries through a composed finish. This is a Bourgogne Blanc with clear Meursault influence and excellent aging potential.
Varietal: Chardonnay
Appellation: Bourgogne Blanc, Burgundy, France
Farming: Sustainably farmed
Style: White. Structured, mineral-driven, and refined
Henri & Philippe Jouan are based in the Côte de Nuits and are best known for their refined, village-level Burgundy, but their Coteaux Bourguignons offers a more relaxed, everyday expression of their farming and winemaking philosophy. The Cuvée Thomas Vieilles Vignes is sourced from old vines planted on limestone and clay soils, farmed with care and moderate yields to maintain balance.
The 2022 vintage is bright and approachable, showing red cherry, raspberry, and a touch of wild strawberry, with subtle floral and earthy notes in the background. The palate is supple and easy-drinking, with fresh acidity and gentle tannins that give the wine shape. Clean and lively through the finish, this is a charming, versatile red that delivers Burgundy character in a more casual, unfussy form.
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Appellation: Coteaux Bourguignons, Burgundy, France
Farming: Sustainably farmed
Style: Red. Fresh, supple, and approachable
Domaine Génot-Boulanger has become known for its meticulous vineyard work across the Côte de Beaune, where organic farming and careful attention to each parcel shape the character of the wine. Aude and Guillaume Lavollée favor a measured, detail-oriented approach that brings definition and balance to their whites without relying on heavy oak or exaggerated richness.
The Savigny-les-Beaune Blanc Vieilles Vignes comes from older Chardonnay vines rooted in limestone and fine clay, soils that give the wine freshness and gentle structure. The 2022 vintage is bright and composed, with citrus zest, white flowers and crisp orchard fruit supported by a subtle almond note. The palate is clean and balanced, carried by lively acidity and a lightly mineral finish. It’s an articulate, expressive white Burgundy that reflects the estate’s thoughtful style.
Varietal: Chardonnay
Appellation: Savigny-les-Beaune Blanc Vieilles Vignes, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France
